PRICE LOWERED TO $17,900.00. There were only approx. 1142 Olds 442 post model cars made in 1966 with automatic transmissions. This one also has floor shift with center console and it has working rare factory air condition,power steering and brakes. It has an economical 3:08 posi rear end but will jerk your head back if you hit the gas pedal. I have spent over $7000.00 in upgrades just in the past two years to make this as close to matching numbers as possible and that does not include my labor. The 400 ci V-8 has B heads that were both redone over last year. The 2 spd Jetaway transmission was rebuilt just last spring. All new bearings were put into the rear differential. New items put in the last two years alone were alternator, carburetor,distributor,air condition compressor, receiver drier, battery, compressor,radiator, tail light lenses and bezels,rechromed front and rear bumpers, new matching front buckets and rear vinyl seat covers, on and on and on. Also along with the very nice spoke hub caps, it has 5 SSI rims to go with it. I have pictures of the car with the spokes and with the SSIs. It almost looks like two different cars.Engine does not knock, smoke or rattle. Starts up every time. Has solid floors, trunk, frame etc. Dash pad has no cracks and shines up nicely. Recently took a second place trophy at a local car show in the 64-67 GM Muscle car class. This car gets thumbs up everywhere I drive it. The paint has some cracks in it on the hood and right rear quarter area plus a few very small stone chips etc here and there. This is not a 100 point car but an excellent cruiser. From 8-12 feet away you can hardly notice any flaws unless you look hard for them. front and rear windshields have some scratches on them that are noticable under certain light conditions.Only reason Im selling is because I have my eye on a 66 Olds 442 convertible.
